Language Laboratories:

"Implementación de un sistema de laboratorios basado en multimedia, audiovisuales y tecnologías de la información para el desarrollo de estrategias que faciliten el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera" Jorge Humberto Villegas Alzate.

This projects aims to set up a multimedia and web-based laboratory for independant study and guided activities. As part of this project, this page has been developed since January 2003 as part of this project. Also, other dynamics have resulted from this project. Students from some courses have experienced an exchange of messages through a group in Yahoo.com. This expereince is the support for a graduation paper in the specialization in English teaching at the Faculty of Education in January, 2004: Computer Mediated Communication and Writing: A case study at the Language Center -UPB

Also, a comprehensive reading guide on Computer-Assisted Language Learning is available on request via email. About this topic there have been some articles for presentations in Centro Colombo Americano ELT Conference (2003), Jornadas del Maestro Investigador (2003-2004), ASOCOPI (2004), EAFIT's First International Conference on CALL (2004), and First Autónoma's International Conference on Language Teaching, I ACT Languages (2005)

"Laboratorio Audiovisuales y sala de recursos para estudiantes". María Isabel Velásquez A. This project aims at the creation of a resource center for students to practice English in our Language Center and at the Library.

In conjunction with the Project "Lengua Y Cultura" from our faculty of Education, Gustavo Jaramillo and a team of expert teachers are working on a project for Spanish for Foreigners.

The coordinators for the different programs are also in a continuous search for the improvement of our services for non-formal education, undergraduate and postgraduate courses through Academic and Research Projects.
